Abelam is a traditionally agrarian society that lives in the East Sepik province of Papua New Guinea. In traditional villages across the region, each tribe has decorative neck ornamentation unique to their culture. The Abelam Necklace is made of swooping strands of crimson and cream wood beads. The top is styled with a thick collar of Spotted Marginella shells on the left and right sides.
